Today I published my first-ever article about Burning Man over at the sfist. I’ve written for The Man before, and I’ve written here on mgl about my experiences on the playa.

I’ve started packing my costumes (hoop skirt, corset, clown collar…check!) and accoutrements (assorted false eyelashes, small mirror, glue… check!) and gear (headlamp, bottle opener… check!). Last Saturday I hosted a costume-sewing and crafting afternoon for the people in my camp. The excitement is starting to flutter. Tonight is the last pre-playa meetup, a social gathering at a bar. This time next week I’ll be in the desert. Wonder what I’ll be up to… actually, that’s best left to the imagination. The mind reels.
